Accounts & sign-in

Your Ember account is the home for your personal relationship directory. Set up onboarding, secure your account, or change access details easily.

Ember supports sign-in with a 6-digit email code, Google, Apple, and email plus password after you set one in your account.

First-time onboarding and language selection

  1. Download and open the Ember app on your mobile device.
  2. On the first screen, choose your preferred language from the list of 23 supported languages (e.g., English or Tiếng Việt).
  3. Tap Continue to move to the sign-in screen.

You can change this anytime in Settings.

The language selection screen appears before you reach sign-in.

Continue with email and a 6-digit code

  1. On the sign-in screen, check I agree to the Terms of Use & Privacy Policy, then tap Continue with Email.
  2. Enter your email address on the Sign in with email screen, then tap Send code when the button is available.
  3. Check your inbox for Ember’s 6-digit code, return to the app, and enter the code to continue.

The email flow only asks for your email so Ember can send a 6-digit code.

Sign in with Google or Apple

  1. To sign in using your existing accounts, first agree to the terms on the sign-in screen, then tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple.
  2. Authenticate using your Google or Apple credentials.
  3. Ember will automatically link your profile and guide you to your home dashboard.

Set or change your password

  1. If you want to add a password for direct login later, open the Settings tab (gear icon) at the bottom right.
  2. Scroll down to the Account section and tap Password, then follow the on-screen prompts to set or change your password.
  3. If you already have a password, enter your current password. Then type your new password and re-enter it in the Confirm new password field.
  4. Tap Update password to save the changes.

Forgot password reset flow

  1. On the sign-in screen, if you cannot remember your password, tap the Forgot password? link.
  2. Enter your registered email address and tap Send code.
  3. Retrieve the 6-digit reset code from your email, enter it in the app, and tap Continue. On the next screen, type your new password and confirm it.
  4. Tap Reset password to update your account and sign in.

Sign out of your account

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the red Logout button at the bottom and confirm with Sign Out to end your current session.

Do I need a password to sign in with email?

No for the primary Continue with Email path: Ember sends a 6-digit code to your inbox. If you have set a password, open Other sign-in options to use the email + password form. Google and Apple remain one-tap options.

What if I do not receive the OTP code?

Check your spam or junk folder. You can request a new code by tapping "Resend code" after 60 seconds.
