Personalize Ember to match your taste. Customize typography, style presets, accent colors, and sizes.

Configure the user interface language. Ember supports 23 languages natively.

Why Ember uses a fixed theme

Ember maintains its own visual styling independent of your device's system dark/light mode. This ensures that the warm cinematic design is preserved. You can customize the styling presets manually under Appearance settings.

Appearance shows a live contact preview so you can see changes before saving.

Customize style, accent, font, and sizePro feature

  1. Go to Settings → Appearance.
  2. Under Style tab, choose from 24 presets, including Ember, Atelier, Aurora, Bauhaus, Cupertino, Noir, Horizon, Daybreak, Nightscape, and Day & Night.
  3. Under Color tab, choose an accent color swatch (e.g. Ember, Gold, Forest, Graphite, Ocean, Plum, Rose).
  4. Under Background tab, choose a background option or keep Follow style.
  5. Under Font tab, select a typography style (e.g. System, Inter, Jost, Baloo 2, Bricolage, Cormorant, Fraunces).
  6. Under Size tab, select a scale: Small, Medium, Large, or Extra large.
  7. Review the real-time preview card displaying the live sample contact.
  8. Tap Apply to save the configuration.

Saving a custom look is a Pro feature. Free users can test presets in live previews but cannot save changes permanently.

Change app language

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Tap Language showing the current active language.
  3. Type in the Search languages field to filter from the 23 supported languages (e.g. English, Tiếng Việt, Español, Français, Deutsch, etc.).
  4. Tap the language name to immediately switch the interface language.

Onboarding language selection

  1. When opening Ember for the first time, you are presented with the Choose your language screen.
  2. Find and select your language, then tap Continue.

You can change this anytime in Settings.

The same language choice is available during first-time setup.

You can change this choice at any time under Settings.

Choose a Scenic interface with image backgrounds

  1. Open Settings → Appearance → Style.
  2. Choose Horizon, Daybreak, Nightscape, or Day & Night to use a Scenic interface with image backgrounds.
  3. Day & Night follows the device's local time automatically: the daytime style starts at 05:00 and the night style starts at 18:00.
  4. Preview the result, then tap Apply to save it. You can still change the accent, background, font, and text size before applying.

Scenic previews the image-background styles and keeps accent, background, font, and text-size controls in the same appearance flow.

Day & Night is the default style for new installs. Whether you can save appearance changes still depends on the plan shown in the app.
