Personalize Ember to match your taste. Customize typography, style presets, accent colors, and sizes.

Configure the user interface language. Ember supports 23 languages natively.

The Watercolour appearance

New accounts start with Watercolour. Open More → Settings → Appearance to preview another style. The preview reflects your selection before you save it.

Appearance shows a live contact preview so you can see changes before saving.

Customize style, accent, font, and size

Go to Settings → Appearance.
Under Style, swipe the choices horizontally. Misty Grove, Watercolour, Daybreak, Nightscape, and Horizon appear at the start of the current picker.
Under Color tab, choose an accent color swatch (e.g. Ember, Gold, Forest, Graphite, Ocean, Plum, Rose).
Under Wallpaper, choose from the background options supported by the selected style. Some wallpaper changes require applying the style first.
Under Font, choose from the fonts supported for your current app language.
Under Size tab, select a scale: Small, Medium, Large, or Extra large.
Review the real-time preview card displaying the live sample contact.
Tap the checkmark in the upper corner to apply your changes.

Style, Color, Background, Font, and Size tabs sit directly below the preview.

Free members can apply free styles, including Watercolour and Misty Grove. Selecting a locked style opens the upgrade flow; you can preview it before deciding.

Change app language

Navigate to Settings.
Tap Language showing the current active language.
Type in the Search languages field to filter from the 23 supported languages (e.g. English, Tiếng Việt, Español, Français, Deutsch, etc.).
Tap the language name to immediately switch the interface language.

Onboarding language selection

When opening Ember for the first time, you are presented with the Choose your language screen.
Find and select your language, then tap Continue.

You can change this anytime in Settings.

The same language choice is available during first-time setup.

You can change this choice at any time under Settings.

Choose a Scenic interface with image backgrounds

Open Settings → Appearance → Style.
Choose Horizon, Daybreak, Nightscape, or Day & Night to use a Scenic interface with image backgrounds.
Day & Night follows the device's local time automatically: the daytime style starts at 05:00 and the night style starts at 18:00.
Preview the result, then tap the checkmark in the upper corner to save it. You can still change the accent, wallpaper, font, and text size before applying.

Scenic previews the image-background styles and keeps accent, background, font, and text-size controls in the same appearance flow.

Watercolour is the default style for new accounts. Free styles can be applied directly; selecting a locked style opens the upgrade flow shown in the app.
