The instructions follow the mobile app; a label may be slightly different when your app language changes.

Record an expense

Open Finance and tap +. Choose Expense, then set its category, amount, currency, date, note and optional contact before tapping Save.
After a successful save, the sheet closes and the new expense appears in the ledger for its period.

Track a debt

From + choose Lend or Borrow. Select a contact, or enter a counterparty name when no contact is available; debt flows do not show normal categories.
Enter amount, currency and date, optionally set a reminder date, then Save to keep the party and reminder state with the debt row.

From the personal transaction sheet choose Add from receipt, take a photo or choose images from the library, then tap Run.
Review extracted rows, fix missing direction, date, amount, category or duplicate warnings, select ready rows and save them.

Take each receipt photo, review it, then confirm the analysis.

Take a photo or choose one from your library.
Ember identifies the receipt total or reliable groups of items.
Complete anything unclear before it is saved.

Uses 1 Ember Point per run. Leaving after recognition starts still uses the point.
