Customizing a contact's page

Every contact details page in Ember is built using modular content blocks (e.g. Photo, Quick actions, Notes, Weather, Reminders, History).

You can reorder these blocks or hide unused ones to customize the view. Your customization applies globally across all contacts.

Open the layout editor

  1. Go to the People tab and tap on any contact to open their details page.
  2. Tap the layout (grid) icon in the top-right to open Arrange layout.

Tap the layout (grid) icon in the top-right to open Arrange layout.

Drag-and-drop to reorder blocks

  1. In the Arrange layout editor, touch and hold the grip handle (a vertical row of dots) on the left edge of any block.
  2. Drag the block up or down to place it in your preferred order.

In the Arrange layout editor, touch and hold the grip handle (a vertical row of dots) on the left edge of any block.

Show or hide specific blocks

  1. To hide a block from the details page, tap the eye icon on the right edge of that block. The eye changes to an eye-off icon and the block dims.
  2. To make a hidden block visible again, tap the same eye-off icon to turn it back on.

To hide a block from the details page, tap the eye icon on the right edge of that block. The eye changes to an eye-off icon and the block dims.

Toggle button labels under quick actions

  1. On the Quick actions block (while it is visible), tap the T (type) icon at the top-right of that block. Its tooltip reads Show button labels.
  2. Tapping this icon toggles the text labels under the quick action icon buttons on or off; the icon turns coral when labels are shown.

Save, reset, or discard layout changes

  1. To apply your new layout, tap Save. The note Applies to every contact reminds you this is a global layout.
  2. To revert all blocks to the factory default layout, tap Reset to default and confirm the dialog Reset the layout to default?.
  3. To exit without saving any modifications, tap Discard changes.

Can I set a different layout for different contacts?

No. The customized layout applies globally to all contacts to ensure consistency throughout your CRM.

What happens to the data inside a hidden block?

Hiding a block only hides it from the details view. It does not delete any of your data.
