The Keeper AI assistant

Keeper is your private AI assistant who understands your relationship directory.

Keeper can answer queries about your network, transcribe spoken voice notes, and automatically draft logs or reminders for you to confirm.

Ask Keeper a question

  1. Tap the AI tab (labeled AI at the bottom navigation bar) to open your chat history.
  2. Tap + to start a new conversation, then in the input box labeled Ask Keeper, share what just happened, or request an update…, type your query.
  3. Tap the send button. Keeper will fetch relevant details from your database and generate an answer.

Ask about a specific person

  1. Go to a contact details page, and tap Ask Keeper about this contact.
  2. Ember will automatically navigate to the AI tab and open a conversation focused on that contact.
  3. Type or speak your question (e.g. What did we talk about last time? or What is her shoe size?).

  1. On the AI chat screen, tap the microphone button labeled Voice input.
  2. Speak your message (e.g. Just met Susan, she was wearing a yellow sweater and mentioned her dog is sick).
  3. Ember transcribes your speech into the input box so you can edit it before sending; sending the question costs 1 Ember Point, just like a typed question.

  1. When you share an update like Met John today for lunch, Keeper will suggest structured database changes.
  2. Review the suggestion card displayed in the chat, labeled Keeper suggests — adjust if needed and save.
  3. Adjust dates or descriptions if needed, then tap Confirm & save to write it to the database, or tap Cancel to dismiss it.

Copy or flag answers

  1. Long-press Keeper's answer bubble to open the Was this answer wrong? sheet.
  2. To copy the answer, tap Copy answer at the top of that sheet.
  3. To report a mistake, fill in what was wrong and what the correct answer should have been, then tap Send report. Reporting shares the conversation to help improve Keeper and cannot be undone — the answer then shows a Reported badge.

Set Keeper preferences and tone

  1. Inside a Keeper conversation, tap the sliders icon (Customize Keeper) in the top-right of the chat header to open Keeper's preferences.
  2. Under tone preference, select how Keeper should respond: Balanced (warm and brief), Concise (shortest useful answer), Direct (straight to the point), Friendly (casual, like a buddy), Gentle (soft, warm, encouraging), or Gruff (blunt and no-nonsense).

So Keeper addresses you correctly, fill in your Gender and Nickname in your profile.

Review what Keeper remembers about you

  1. Open a Keeper conversation, tap Customize Keeper, then choose What Keeper knows about me.
  2. Review saved instructions, preferences, facts, insights, conversation summaries, and learned name aliases.
  3. Use the pencil icon to correct an editable item, or the trash icon to remove information Keeper should no longer use.
  4. You can also open this screen by tapping a Saved to memory chip after Keeper saves a lasting instruction or preference.

Is my voice data used to train AI models?

No. Ember maintains strict privacy: your data is never sold, and your transcripts are never used for AI model training.
