Reminders & notifications

Never forget an important date. Ember supports highly flexible reminders and custom scheduling to keep you in touch.

Configure repeating notifications, record voice reminders, and enable AI commands to automate actions at the scheduled time.

Create a reminder

  1. Go to the Reminder tab at the bottom navigation, or tap the + button in the Reminders section of a contact page.
  2. Under Related to who? (optional), select a contact if they are associated.
  3. Choose an Event type: Birthday, Anniversary, or Custom.
  4. Type a Title (required for every reminder) and set the date and time.
  5. Tap Save to create the reminder.

Free accounts are limited to 5 upcoming reminders. Pro users can schedule unlimited reminders.

Edit or repeat reminders

  1. Tap any reminder from your list to open the detail view, then tap Edit.
  2. Under Frequency, choose the recurrence interval: Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
  3. Make modifications to the title or due dates, and tap Save.

Add a reminder by voicePro feature

  1. On the Reminder tab, tap the microphone button.
  2. Speak naturally (e.g. Remind me to call Dad this Sunday).
  3. Ember sends your words to Keeper AI, which fills in the title, date, and repeat, then saves the reminder for you to review.

  2. If disabled, tap the banner or go to your phone OS settings to enable notifications.
  3. To verify, tap Send test notification. You will receive a test notification on your screen within 5 seconds.

AI reminder commands

  1. When creating or editing a reminder, turn on the AI reminder switch.
  2. In the text field labeled Prompt for AI, type your instruction (e.g. Draft a congratulations message for Susan's new job or Look up gift ideas for David).
  3. At the set time, Ember sends you a notification — tap it to run the command in Keeper AI and see the result in your chat.

Use the reminders calendar

  1. Open the Reminders tab and tap the calendar icon to switch from the list to Calendar.
  2. Choose Week or Month, then use the arrows or Today to move between periods.
  3. Tap a date to review its reminders and important dates in the agenda below the calendar.
  4. Tap the list icon to return to the standard reminders list.

Turn birthdays into reminders

  1. In Calendar, keep Show all birthdays on to include contacts whose birthday is saved but does not yet have a reminder.
  2. A birthday without a reminder appears as a faded suggestion in the agenda.
  3. Tap Add beside that birthday. Ember opens a reminder form with the contact, date, and birthday type already filled in.
  4. Review the time and recurrence, then tap Save.

Can I set multiple reminders for one contact?

Yes. You can add as many individual birthday, anniversary, or custom task reminders to a contact as needed.

What happens if I miss a reminder?

Missed reminders are flagged as overdue on your Reminder dashboard (e.g. "3 days overdue") until you mark them complete or reschedule them.
