Connect Ember to AI assistants

The AI Assistant Connector links your Ember CRM to ChatGPT and Claude through the secure Ember connector URL.

Once connected, you can ask about your relationship network, look up contacts, and confirm changes such as new interactions, reminders, or money ledger entries.

What the connector doesPro feature

The connector lets ChatGPT and Claude talk to Ember on your behalf. It gives your AI assistant a secure way to answer questions about your relationship network and help manage your contacts in Ember.

  1. In ChatGPT or Claude, open Settings -> Connectors.
  2. Add a new connector with this URL: https://keepember.com/mcp.
  3. When the Ember Connect page opens, sign in with Google, Apple, or email.
  4. Enter your encryption passphrase once on the Ember Connect page.
  5. Choose which permissions the AI assistant can use: contacts, interactions, reminders, or money ledger.
  6. Review the permissions and click Connect.

Security and encryptionPro feature

Ember uses end-to-end encryption. Your passphrase is entered only on the Ember Connect page. The server keeps the key only while the connector session is active so it can decrypt data just in time for that session.

When you disconnect, Ember deletes the key for that connection. The AI assistant can only see decrypted data during the active session and does not keep it after the session ends.

Disconnect the connectorPro feature

  1. Remove the Ember connector in ChatGPT or Claude.
  2. Or open Ember app settings and disconnect the AI assistant connector there.
  3. Disconnecting revokes the assistant's access permissions and deletes the session key for that connection.

What happens if I change my encryption passphrase in the app?

Your AI connections will be disconnected and must be connected again with the new passphrase. This is a security mechanism, and your data is not lost. Changing your normal sign-in password does not affect the connector.

Can the AI edit or delete data without asking me?

No. Every write action requires a confirmation step before anything is saved to Ember.

Which plan do I need?

You need Ember Pro or Ultra to use the AI Assistant Connector.
