Add an Ember widget to your Home Screen
- On your phone's Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area or widget until the apps jiggle.
- Tap the + (plus) icon in the corner to open the widget library, then search and select Ember.
- Choose a widget size and tap Add Widget.
- To configure, long-press the widget and tap Edit Widget (iOS) or open its settings (Android). On the Choose a contact screen, pick a specific person — or leave it on Automatic (coldest contact) to let the widget show whoever needs tending most.

What details are shown on widgets?

- Contact name: The name of the pinned person.
- Upcoming events: Next scheduled birthday, anniversary, or reminder.
- Warmth indicator: A subtle ember flame color depicting how warm the connection is (e.g. glowing orange for active, dark grey for cold).

Can I perform actions directly from the widget?
Tapping an Ember widget immediately launches the app and opens the details card of that pinned contact.
Does hiding details in Lock Screen settings work?
Yes. Disabling lock screen widgets in Ember settings will hide contact names and event details from showing on your Lock Screen for privacy.
